Boston has its share of historic taverns, Irish pubs, and popular sports bars…but McGreevy’s 3rd Base Saloon, a popular Boston bar near Fenway Park, manages to fit into all three categories at once. How? To answer that question, we need to look back to more than a hundred years ago when baseball fanatic Michael “Nuf Ced” McGreevy decided to open a saloon in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood in 1894.
